Ash Wednesday Service

February 17, at 6:30 pm in multi-purpose room.  Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. It is a day of penitence and remembrance of our sins of the past and our ultimate mortality.  Plan to attend our UMC Lenten Services again this year.  Click here for the schedule of services.

Are you looking for a new church home?  At CrossRoads, we strive for the following 3 Key Invitations:

1)  Inviting all to “BE” with God in Communal Worship that is authentic and receptive of the  Mystery
2)  Develop deep, loving, mature, intimate relationships which result in Radical Hospitality
3)  To bear witness to the transforming power of Christ through a faithful,  lifelong  journey in Christian Discipleship

Imagine what it would be like if Jesus returned today!  Are you ready?

Haiti Emergency Earthquake Relief- We are all aware of the terrible earthquake and the misery being suffered by Haitians right now.  We need to consciously pray for comfort for all of them.  But there is something else concrete that we can do.  When money is scarce, we do need to make sure it is used in the absolutely best way.  There is one place where we can give money and know that 100% of it will go directly to those in need in Haiti.  That place is through our long-established United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).   Donate to Haiti Emergency Relief.   Because UMCOR is part of the budget of the United Methodist Church, there is no need to take out part of donations to pay administrative costs.  Those costs are already covered.  There is no other organization that uses their gifts so carefully.

Angelfood Ministries offers low cost food boxes each month.  Payment must be made in cash or food stamps when the order is placed.  Good News!! CrossRoads is now an official HOST SITE for Angel Food Ministries.  We hope to increase our outreach in the coming months. Please keep this mission in your prayers that God will provide the  necessary resources.  The January menu is now available and can be found on the information table and at the reception desk.   YOU CAN ALSO order on line at http://www.angelfoodministries.com/host.asp?id=11642
